He gained notoriety when, while playing for Rajshahi Kings, he became the youngest player to record a T20 wicket and went on to win the match’s Man of the Match award. Afif, a Khulna native, made his East Zone first-class debut in February 2017 and collected a massive amount of points in his first innings against North Zone. The Bangladesh Cricket Board caught him using an improper bowling motion. However, the board approved it in September 2017. Afif is a promising player to keep an eye on. He is a powerful hitter who is adaptable in his approach, as well as a more than capable off-break bowler.
