Bangladeshi cricketer Mosaddek Hossain Saikat plays for his country internationally. On December 10, 1995, he was born in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He typically serves as an all-around batsman. He is a right-handed off break bowler and right-handed batter. For the past six years, he has competed in Bangladesh’s first class and List-A cricket. By the time he participated in the eleventh match of the 2014–15 season, he had amassed 1000 first-class runs and had scored more than 250 runs in successive innings. In 2015, he became the first batsman from Bangladesh to record three double century.

Hossain represented Bangladesh at the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup in Australia and the 2013–14 edition in Abu Dhabi. In two games against Sri Lanka Under-19 in April 2017, he served as captain of the national Under-19 team. After the series against Sri Lanka, he led the national team in a number of limited-overs matches. Over the course of the series’ five games, he displayed his superior batting skills by scoring more than 200 runs. Later that year, in a match against the English Under-19 team, he turned in a spectacular all-around effort, scoring 110 runs off of 113 balls while taking 3 wickets for 38 runs in his 10 overs.

He achieved his first List goal. At the time, he was playing for Abahani Limited, and in just his second game, he scored a century against Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club. He was only seventeen years old. He participated in just one first-class games for Dhaka Division in the 2013–14 campaign before being chosen by the East Zone at the end of the campaign. After the 2013–14 season, Cricinfo rated him one of Bangladesh’s most promising young players, praising his “footwork against spin and ease against pace” as a batter.

He represented Barisal Division in the National Cricket League during the 2014–15 season. He had some outstanding performances, including two innings of 250 or more runs in quick succession, and he finished the season with a century for South Zone in the Bangladesh Cricket League, pushing his season and career totals of runs scored above 1000. He traveled with Bangladesh-A to South Africa and Zimbabwe in 2015. With 194 runs against Zimbabwe A in the two first-class games, he led Bangladesh A in scoring. He was chosen for the Chittagong Vikings Team in the Bangladesh Premier League draft for the 2018–19 season.

On January 20, 2016, Mosaddek made his Twenty20 International debut for Bangladesh against Zimbabwe. He played his first One Day International (ODI) for Bangladesh against Afghanistan in September of that same year, becoming the first Bangladeshi player to capture a wicket with his very first delivery in an ODI.
