Rahman scored 26 against Sri Lanka in Bangladesh’s T20I debut in February 2014. He didn’t play in an ODI until November, but when he did, he scored an undefeated 44. Despite lacking experience, the selection committee named him to the 2015 World Cup roster due to his good start in the ODI format. In six innings, he scored 182 runs, which was a respectable performance. Rahman played his first Test against England in October 2016. After failing in the first innings, he rebounded brilliantly and scored an undefeated 64 in the second, which nearly helped his team win.

During 2010, Sabbir made news. His undefeated 33 off 18 balls, which came after a strong performance in the Under-19 World Cup, enabled his side defeat Afghanistan to win the Asian Games gold medal. Sabbir led Bangladesh in runs scored during the 2016 Asia Cup, which saw them defeat the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan to advance to the final against India. Sabbir was ultimately chosen as the “Player of the Series” after managing to score 174 runs at a strike rate of 123.94 and an average of 44.00 while playing a significant role in the Bangladeshi batting unit.
